Q: What is your coverage area?Q: How many vehicles do you have in your fleet?Q: How much should I tip my limo driver?Q: Why do you tip a chauffeur/limo driver?Q: Why do limo companies have an additional 7% fuel surcharge?Q: What is a 20% STC or Service Fee?Q: Can we bring a Keg onto the Party Bus?Q: How do I know what I am getting?Q: (Wedding) - How do I know what limo company to choose for my "Big Day"?A: 1. See the limo in person! First and most importantly go see the limos in person! Unless you receive a glowing recommendation from someone you trust with your life <literally> you need to treat the wedding limo like every other decision; research it.
If you visit the "nicest" limo company in town but you get the gut feeling they are disorganized and unprofessional you run the risk of getting less than you paid for. Ask your limo company about their drivers attire and what they include with their limo package?
2. What Is Plan B? The next most important question is "Do you have a backup plan?" If you are renting a limo from a company with three cars and three drivers it is unlikely they have a real backup plan. As you are well aware, vehicles break down and there is nothing a vehicle owner can do to guarantee this never happens. Besides the vehicle, people "break down" too. If a company does not have extra drivers or extra vehicles on busy days it really doesn't matter how "nice" people think the limo company is.
3. Rent Local. Big city limo companies come to your area for one reason and one reason only, to make money! Not only do big city companies only travel out of their local area for profit but most do not care if they leave you standing at the wedding hall with no ride. If a more profitable gig arises they will be the first to call you an hour before the wedding to deliver the sad news that they have a flat tire and sadly will not be to the wedding on time.
They don't care because they see their relationship with you as a one night stand. They want what they want and no matter how mad you get at them they are still the biggest fish in the sea in their eyes.
You never have to be the victim. Rent locally and rent from someone you trust.
Q: Should I rent from a "real" limo company in Jacksonville or Orlando?
